Visitors' Centre and Bannock County Historical Museum
The first time we visited Pocatello was just before Evil Knievel's failed rocket jump over Snake River Canyon in 1974. Now, many years later, photos from our 2010 visit serve as somewhat of a sneak preview for the 2011 Burroughs Bibliophiles Convention -- the gathering of the great apes -- the Dum-Dum.

Pocatello was on our route home from Utah where we were guests at the Tarzan Musical production in the Tuacahn outdoor amphitheatre. Actually we had taken a major loop from the Chicago Dum-Dum, to Utah where we also visited many of the locations where Disney's John Carter movie had just finished shooting, as well as taking time to explore another ERB-related locaton, Salt Lake City.

This visit gave us the opportunity to go through local history books
which gave us a chance to capture a few photos from the period of time
when Ed and Emma Burroughs spent time in the area.
