BATTLING THE GIGANTOSAURUS ~ 1932.10.16

Swift was the Gigantosaurus but swifter was Tarzan. Like the wind he hurled himself from tree to tree. But always close behind him reached the neck of the monster. At last Tarzan found a tree of great height and swung himself to safety on the topmost branch, where the Gigantosaurus could not reach him.

But then the monster hurled his prodigious weight against the tree. The tree crashed and fell under the terrific impact. Tarzan was off to another tree. But this time the monster was upon him. Tarzan leaped for the neck. He swung his body around to the back.

As he plunged his knife again and again into the neck, a wild hissing sound filled the forest.
