1938: The Red Star of Tarzan (FC) starts in Argosy

1950: Ed dies after eating breakfast in bed while reading the Sunday comics. He is cremated at the Chapel of the Pines in Los Angeles
1914: Submits GF to Metcalf (A-S) - suggests nephew Studley do art

1941:  Tormented over Florence and finances, Ed has a slight stroke in his sleep
1950: Jack removes Ed's ashes - they are buried beside his mother's beneath the black walnut tree in front of the ERB offices in Tarzana.
1914: Family leaves California for Chicago

1928: Indicates to Blue Book that he plans to write a Venus series

1934: Divorce decree is granted to the Dearholts

1933: Brother Harry's wife Ella is killed in a car accident near Ann Arbor, Mich

1935: Meets with his attorney to make plans for his wedding to Flo
1888: George takes in James M. Johnson, a Confederate negro acquaintance from the war. He is made practically one of the family
